If God is a trinity, and God created man in his image, then man has a multiple personality disorder (Dissociative identity disorder).

Qualifying For A Kingdom Hall Funeral
by minimus inone of the most despicable things i can remember is having the elders determining whether or not you “qualified” for proper funeral services in a kingdom hall and if the talk could be given by an elder.
people are hurting terribly and the family is then told, even though the deceased was a member of the congregation, they still weren’t good enough to qualify for proper burial services per the congregation!

True story...
A brother committed suicide. OD on a prescription drug. Brothers initially said they couldn't have a funeral talk at the hall because it looked like he killed himself. They didn't want to give a "bad name' to Jehovah. Family then informed the elders he had a 100K life insurance policy left to the hall just 2 days later. That weekend, there was a funeral talk at the hall. The reason now? It would take over a month for the autopsy to prove he OD and he was such a fine example for the congregation! Bunch of fucking hypocrites. It's all about the $$$.

Are You Horrifed if Someone Goes Into a “Massage Parlor”?
by minimus inyesterday, robert kraft, the owner of the new england patriots, got busted for getting a massage and more.
they say there is another more high profile person who also got busted.. does this stuff upset you that some men have gone into a massage parlor for possibly more than a massage?

I go to "massage parlors" about once a month. I find them better than chiropractors for my back. Finding ones that don't offer 'extras' can be daunting. Something about walking on my back and those hot stones work for me. I've learned if they advertise they have table showers, it is probably a rub and tug. I have tried the chain massage business Massage Envy and, well to put it plainly, they suck. Overpriced, unhappy employees who don;t know what they are doing. So back to your original question, No, I am not horrified. But I am concerned about finding a place that doesn't have workers forced into a sex trade.

Why do Jehovah's Witness members incriminate themselves in judicial meeting?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwhy do jehovah's witness members incriminate themselves to any judicial process?
how can three elders conduct a judicial meeting with a 15-year-old teenage girl who supposedly was rumored to fornicate, took drugs or was drunk from drinking alcohol?
can she or the parents refuse to answer any questions?.

We had a family in my old congregation that had a 17 y/o who got fed up with the WT bullshit. He told his parents who went straight to the elders. The parents were/are all in...wife is a pioneer, husband a ministerial servant. The elders asked the kid about it and he told them flat out the WT is bullshit. He was DF the next meeting, and his parents threw him out of the house the following day. He ended up moving in with some relatives then graduated high school. The parents were rewarded for their actions by being interviewed on a Circuit Assembly part the following year. Utterly disgusting.

Should calling someone 'Nazi' be made illegal?
by LoveUniHateExams ina rabble-rouser called james goddard and a crowd of pro-brexit people called anna soubry 'nazi' recently.. the same crowd also called owen jones a few names.. i don't know these people but they seem to be unsavory people - they were certainly not behaving themselves.. the met police are looking into the matter, to see if the crowd did anything illegal.
a journalist asked the police officer if calling someone 'nazi' is illegal.
the officer said 'that's what we're looking into'.. first, this crowd behaved badly, no question.. what i find fascinating, though, is the speed of response from authorities.. calling people fascist or nazi has been going on for decades.

This topic reminds me of a Chuck Lorre quote
"When I was a child I was taught the saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me." At the time, I saw the sense of it. Words, being intangible, have no ability to inflict physical harm. Whenever another child said something mean to me, I would loudly recite the saying at them, using it like a magical incantation that would protect me from getting my feelings hurt. I usually said it with tears running down my cheeks. As an adult I've come to see that the saying is, like many things taught to children, a lie. The truth is that bones heal, while the damage done by words can last a lifetime. I bring it up here only to remind those who write about television of the power they wield. And that is the power to wound with words. The power to be mean. They have absolutely no power to affect ratings and the likely success or failure of a TV show. In that arena they are laughably impotent. Unengorged. Limp. Flaccid, if you will. Forever poking, but never really penetrating. But I should tread carefully here. I don't want to now become the very thing I decry. One who uses words to hurt. Having been a victim of verbal abuse, I certainly wouldn't want that on my conscience."

Shocking Example of JW Elder Corruption
by Roger Kirkpatrick inlet's play a game of believe it or not, shall we?
i'll relate a story, and you decide whether you believe it or not.
what would you think of an elder who told his daughter's fiance that he would kill him if he ever did anything to hurt his daughter?

Not surprising. There was an elder just appointed in my old congregation that is known by everyone (I guess except those in the congregation) that is fooling around with a married woman. He is a grandson of a local heavyweight in the org so he gets a pass. That's the way it works with "holy spirit' I guess.
